The difference between Gr 55,60 A515 steel plate

A515gr55/60 steel plate, ASTM A515gr55/60 steel plate, under ASTM standard, we can regard A515gr55/60 steel plates Steel for Boilers and Pressure Vessels
A515gr55/60 steel plate is one mainly of Steel for Boilers and Pressure Vessels, A515gr55/60 covers steel plates of intermediate tensile strength for pressure vessels to be operated at intermediate or higher temperatures. The four grades offer excellent combinations of strength, weldability and toughness to permit designers flexibility in the design of pressure vessels coming under the jurisdiction of the ASME Pressure Vessel Code.

A515/A515M specification covers carbon-silicon steel plates primarily for intermediate and higher temperature service in welded boilers and other pressure vessels projects.
A515 Grade 55 is categorized as Carbon Steel. It is composed of (in weight percentage) 0.28% Carbon (C), 0.90% Manganese (Mn), 0.035% Phosphorus (P), 0.04% Sulfur (S), 0.15-0.30% Silicon (Si), and the base metal Iron (Fe). Another common designation of ASTM A515 Grade 55 carbon steel is UNS K02001.
A515 Grade 60 steel tensile strength is 415Mpa to 550Mpa and the yield strength is min 415Mpa.
A515 Grade 60 heat treatment, if a515 grade 60 steel thick in 50mm or under this thickness, A515 Grade 60 normalized supplied in the as-rolled condition. If our customer requirement, we also could do normalized. If A515 Grade 60 thicknesses above 50mm, this plate shall be normalized..
